Correct Score betting

If you ask professional bettors about the hardest bet market to make a profit, most will go with the Correct Score of the uncertainty surrounding some factors in the game that can influence it that makes it possible. A certain player playing the game of his life when you least expect it or a keeper making endless saves in a match where you least expect it can determine the outcome of a match.
The recent heroics of Jan Oblak for Atletico de Madrid against Liverpool in the Champion League come to mind. Liverpool would've scored enough to make it through were it not for Jan Oblak. The fact that he came into the match determined was not a surprise, but that he made that much saves was unpredicted. It was what propelled Atletico to finish the job in extra time to avoid penalties. Adrian's mistake had a lot to do with them winning the match and going through in extra time.
What is correct score?
A correct score prediction is a prediction of what the final score in a football match will be after the normal time (90 minutes) has been played. Before kick-off, bookies offer a range of odds on several of the most common scores in a match.
The fact that a bettor can be prepared but still get twatted by unforeseen occurrences in a match makes it hard. These kind of things are what makes correct scores a market pursued by those who do a lot of research. It is hard enough predicting the winner of a match much less the number of goals to be scored in a scheduled match. With the right strategy, you can make profits from it, here are some of the other options available under it:
Correct scores bet types
Full Time
This is where you can get the most value from this market when betting. All bookies will offer this market at the very least and this makes shopping around easy. This is also the most common market for which most correct score offers are applicable too.
Half Time / Full Time
You can also bet on the score at the interval, this can be combined with the correct score at full time or you can bet on each half separately. This allows you to bet on a game to be 1-0 at half time and 2-1 at full time.
Periods And Extra Time
Some bookies will allow bets on the score of the match at various intervals, e.g. after five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes and so on.
Scorecast
It is not possible in general to place accumulator bets on events from the same event and this is known as a related contingency. This means you can't place a double bet on the first goalscorer and the correct score in the same game. Why? Because both bets factor in the chances of a result and if you link these you are in effect doubling this facto.
Accumulators
It is possible to combine multiple correct score bets into an accumulator. These have proven to be very profitable considering the higher odds available for correct score bets.
Specials
Many bookies run certain special markets around bigger games that connect the correct score with another outcome.
- Correct score.
- Player to be booked/sent off.
- Method of first goals (Header, Free Kick, Shot, etc.).
- Multiple Goalscorers.
- Penalty to be awarded.
- Player to be subbed.
