PSV vs Leicester City Predictions and Betting Tips

Having played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their quarterfinals tie, PSV and Leicester City reconvene for the deciding tie in the Netherlands this Thursday. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.

Both sides uncharacteristically failing to find the back of the net at the King Power Stadium a week ago does make the return leg one to watch. Who emerges victorious at the end of the referee’s final whistle ?

Highly-anticipated encounter on the cards

An unprecedented treble is still in the cards for Roger Schmidt and his troops, however, a lot has to happen in their favour for them to achieve this feat. For starters, Ajax’s four-point lead at the summit of the Dutch Eredivisie is still intact even whilst PSV were victorious against RKC Waalwijk over the weekend and with the top two Dutch teams clashing in the KNVB Beker Cup final this coming weekend, PSV do have their work cut out for them in the few days. Still and all, they head into the return leg against the Foxes unbeaten in their last 15 games in all competitions-11 of those ending in victories.

The Foxes, having gone through a torrid time this season, have picked up form at just the right time. In their last 10 games across all tournaments, the Foxes have managed six wins and two draws whilst losing just twice. The most recent game against Crystal Palace could be termed the Dewsbury-Hall show as the talented English midfielder scored and assisted in a 2-1 victory for the Foxes. Leicester City does have a number of games in hand in the English top-flight but the reality is that they’re down in 9th position and as such, they would most likely need to go all the way in the UEFA Europa Conference League for them to secure a place in Europe next season. Standing in their way is a highly-motivated PSV side who barely put a foot wrong on home soil.
