Nigeria got off to a good start on the road to Qatar 2022 with a win on Matchday one at home against Liberia. After sharing the spoil against Cape Verde on Matchday 1, they picked up their first loss in the group after losing to Liberia in their next game. Wins have been hard to come by for them given that they last won a game back in 2019- a run that has spanned across eight games.
