Defensive calamities, however, were their downfall against Sampdoria just a couple of days ago as they were held to a 2-2 draw. It is then left to see whether they wouldn't make such mistakes in the bid to do better than their 2020/2021 UCL performance.
It doesn't look like the wholesale changes in the Real Madrid squad would impact their success taking into account their recent league performance.
