Both sides are in close proximity on the head-to-head side of things with the Danes leading the way by a singular win in nine meetings, the most recent meeting ending in a 4-0 victory for Denmark just a couple of months back.

Danes looking to continue decent form

Since that semifinal loss to England in the European Championship, Denmark haven't put a foot wrong in the four matches in which they've featured. Having gone past Scotland, Israel and Faroe Islands last month, they kicked off this international break with yet another comfortable victory against Moldova. That 4-0 victory last weekend made it seven wins in as many games in these qualifiers, with Kasper Hjulmund's troops scoring 26 times and keeping clean sheets in all seven matches. Would we see them run through the Austrians just like they did in the reverse fixture ?

Austria, on the flip side, is in desperate need of maximum points as they head into this game in 4th position, four points behind Scotland who are in second place. They didn't have the best run in September's international break losing to both of their challengers in Scotland and Isreal. Nonetheless, it is to be noted that they got back to winning ways last weekend with a 2-0 victory against the Faroe Islands- Laimer and Sabitzer grabbing the goals. There's loads of work for Franco Foda and his troops in their final three group games, however, with the talent embedded in this Austria side, we can't put it past them to make up the ground on Scotland and grab the second place for themselves.
