Still and all, there's a chance for silverware this week but would need to get past Athletic Club for a spot in the final this Sunday.
Athletic Club celebrated a famous win in the 2021 Spanish Super Cup, beating Real Madrid and then Barcelona in the final to lift the trophy for the third time in their history. The Basque club actually did go on to lose in the postponed 2019/2020 Copa Del Rey final three months later before losing to Barcelona in the 2020/2021 final at the end of last season. Their form since this campaign kicked off hasn't been the best as they currently find themselves in 9th position after 21 league games played so far.
