Melbourne City FC and Adelaide United go at each other on Tuesday from 09:30 GMT with all three points on the line.

Melbourne City FC will be looking to seal a place in the playoff semis as they're currently two points ahead of Wellington Phoenix who are in the third position, and have played a game more.

They were impressive last time out as they beat top-ranked side Sydney FC at the ANZ Stadium with a 2-0 win. Craig Noone gave his side the lead twelve minutes into the second half before Jamie Maclaren netted his 19th goal of the season nine minutes later as Erick Mombaerts’s side picked up their fourth win in the league from six games.

Adelaide United, on the other hand, will need some results to go their way if they're to progress to the playoffs stage. They currently occupy the last playoff spot, just two points ahead of Western United who have only two games to play.

They'd be looking to build on their draw last time out against Sydney FC as both sides settled for a stalemate.
