In the two games schedules for action in the Spanish top-flight on Monday, we'd be focusing on the game at the Estadio de Mendizorroza with Alaves taking on Real Betis. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.
Real Betis emerged victorious in a five-goal thriller between both sides back in March. This would be their second straight victory against Alaves in the LaLiga Santander. Can they make it three consecutive victories this week?
Betis keen on taking advantage of struggling opponents
Following a disastrous first five league games of the season for Alaves- which they lost all, it looked like things were finally set for change in Javi Calleja's camp as he led his team to a hard-fought 1-0 victory against the defending champions Atletico Madrid. Taking into account their most recent game, these changes were not wholesale as they went back to losing games in the Spanish league. They were downed by Athletic Cub courtesy of a 44th-minute strike from Raul Garcia- the striker making amends for his earlier penalty miss. Only Getafe have a record worse than Alaves and although these are still early days, they would need to start racking up the wins.
It's safe to say that Betis are the team on the up comparing both sides as they head into this game with 12 points from their first 10 league games. They also didn't start the season well but have now gone on a run of four games unbeaten picking up 10 points from the four games. Sadly, we saw an end to the unbeaten run as they went on to lose just before the international break away at Villareal. Nonetheless, we don't see Pellegrini's troops capitulating any time soon with the side also winning their first two games in the UEFA Conference League.

Alaves vs Real Betis Prediction: 0-2
Although both sides lost their most recent game, they're worlds apart in terms of form with Real Betis boasting a significantly better run of results. There has been no sign of intensity and intention when Calleja's troops are on the pitch and as such, we see the hosts sinking further down the drain with yet another loss on Monday.
