Monday night's football action is in two folds as two games are scheduled to feature. The first of those games will be at the Hawthorns as West Brom host Burnley. Both teams go into this game in search of their first win of the new campaign. Which side gets this victory at the end of 90 minutes?
The formbook says both teams are well on par after the first few games. However, looking at their head-to-head record, West Brom slightly edges the clarets with four wins in the last 10 meetings, compared to their opponent's two. The most recent which was as the business end of the 2017/18 Premier League ended with a win for Sean Dyche. Will they be able to replicate that same performance to get this much-needed victory?
Both sides in desperate need of a change in fortune
It's looking like a long season for the West Brom and Burnley faithful with both sides in 17th and 18th place respectively. They're both heading into this game in search of their first win of the new campaign after four trials- three for Burnley having played a game less.
West Brom, unlike their opponents, have one point on the board as they shared the spoils with Chelsea in the game before last. However, failing to get all three points after being three goals ahead at the end of the first half was probably the reason the result couldn't serve as a confidence booster. They fell to the sword away at the St. Mary's Stadium last time out, losing 2-0 on the day. Djenepo and Romeu's goals in either half were the talking points as The Baggies were condemned to yet another loss.
Burnley is heading into the game off the back of their worst start in recent seasons. With their style of play built around dogged defending and well-worked set-pieces, they've been far from their best since the commencement of the new season. However, it is to be noted that Sean Dyche is missing a couple of first-team players in persons of Mee and Lowton.
They endured yet another loss at the St. James' Park in their previous game against Newcastle United. Saint-Maximin had put the home side in front with only 14 minutes gone with a brilliant solo goal. The Clarets pulled one back 16 minutes into the second half keen on sparking a comeback. However, it wasn't to be as a Wilson brace settled the tie in favour of the home team.

Ben Mee, Jack Cork and Matthew Lowton are the most notable injury casualties for the away side. Hal Robson-Kanu is sidelined via an elbow injury while Callum Robinson is unavailable as he's self-isolating given coronavirus concerns.

Seven of the last eight meetings between these two sides have ended with over 2.5 goals. This particular one isn't expected to be different with both sides currently struggling at the back. However, Burnley has failed to cope against teams with tremendous attacking flair. Bilic has that in abundance with Diangana on the left and Pereira on the right. Given this, both players are expected to be instrumental in this West Brom win.
