Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham Predictions and Betting Tips

We're set for a London derby this Sunday as Tottenham and West Ham square off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.

Although the Hammers are unbeaten in their last three league games against Spurs, the Lilywhites were responsible for eliminating the Hammers from the EFL Cup back in December. Who takes this spoils here ?

The race for Europe in the spotlight

Still in the habit of alternating between wins and losses, Spurs are slowly losing ground on local rivals and 4th placed Arsenal who is three points ahead of them whilst playing a game less. Although Spurs have come some way under Antonio Conte, inconsistency has been their Achilles heel with the team failing to string together a decent run of results. A Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Manchester United handed them their 10th defeat of the league last weekend but just like clockwork, they swiftly got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory away from a Brighton- Romero and Kane with the goals. A loss against another one of their top-four rivals would surely spell doom for them with respect to next season's Champions League, however, they would surely be confident of getting one over the Hammers having done so in their last meeting.

The London Stadium hosted West Ham's most important game in European competition in over 40 years last Thursday as the Hammers looked to overturn a one-goal deficit against serial Europa League winners Sevilla. David Moyes' crop got off to the perfect start in the closing stages of the first half through Tomas Soucek and it wasn't until the 112th minute they grabbed the go-ahead goal as Andriy Yarmolenko netted his second goal in as many games. Winning the Europa League is a sure-fire way of booking a place in the Champions League, however, they would prefer to have all cards on the table and what better way to do that than with a statement victory against a Spurs side also gunning for the top four.

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham Prediction: 2-1

With both sides level on 48 points, a closely contested encounter on the cards this weekend. However, fatigue on the side of the Hammers- given that they went all the way on Thursday-as well as Harry Kane's recent scoring streak put this tie slightly in favour of the hosts.
