Arsenal vs Newcastle United Predictions and Betting Tips
Arsenal and Newcastle United, once again, lock horns on Monday after batling it out in the FA Cup 3rd round about a week ago. Read on for our tips and predictions.
The Gunners ran out 2-0 winners in the just-concluded FA Cup 3rd round against the Magpies. Smith-Rowe and Aubameyang both netted in extra time as the titleholders started the domestic cup with an important victory. This would be the Gunners' 5th straight win over the Magpies in all competitions.
Minor setback for Artets troops
Arsenal, having failed to secure all three points in their most recent Premier League game against Crystal Palace would want to get back to winning ways. The Gunners', who currently sit at the bottom half of the standings were more or less toothless against the Eagles. This was unlike them over the past few games given they were heading into that game on a three-game winning streak.
Under-Pressure Steve Bruce in desperate need of a turn around
The Magpies haven't gotten out of their heads since that 5-2 loss against Leeds United back in December. Since then, they haven't managed to pick up a league victory, and have also been knocked out of both domestic cups. All this is in a run that has spanned across eight games in all competitions. In their most recent game, they were 1-0 losers away at Sheffield United who copped their first league win of the season. Will they Magpies manage to upset resurgent Gunners?

Steve Bruce and his men haven’t shown any signs of getting back to winning ways lately. Unlike their opponents who, although failed to get all three points last time out, could be considered to be in top form. As such, we would side with a comprehensive home win for this one.
