Valencia vs Barcelona Predictions and Betting Tips

Barcelona would be keen on getting back to winning ways when they travel to the Estadio Mestalla to take on Valencia this coming Sunday. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.

Unbeaten in their last three games against Valencia, including a clean sheet back in October, the Catalans head into this game as the better side on the account of their recent meetings.

Xavi eyeing Champions League football

Valencia's form towards the end of 2021 suggested that they would push for a spot in Europe, however, Jose Bordalas' troops have been far from their best since the turn of the year. Although they did hold Athletic Bilbao to a 1-1 draw in the Copa Del Rey semifinal first leg just last week, their league form isn't exactly something to write home about with Los Murcielagos managing just two points from their last six league games. This dip in form has dropped them down into 12th position and they would need to get back to winning ways as fast as they can if they're to push for a place in any of the European competitions next season.

Things are looking bright for Barcelona who, via a much-needed unbeaten run, have managed to climb into 4th position on the LaLiga Santander standings. Although they haven't particularly been convincing during this run- with four of those games being draws, the Barcelona faithful would be optimistically looking towards the future. They were in Europa League action for the first time in 17 years last Thursday in their playoff round first leg tie at home to Napoli. The visitors took the lead but we saw the Catalans fight back with Ferran Torres equalizing from the spot in the second half. A host of chances then fell to the former Man City winger but he failed to tuck them away- both sides settling for the draw. Would we see the Catalans get back to winning ways this Sunday ?
