Sevilla vs Elche Predictions and Betting Tips

The Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan is the stage for this highly-anticipated encounter as Sevilla eye a return to winning ways against Elche this Friday.

Goals for both sides forced a share of the spoils when both sides clashed heads in the early stages of the 2021/2-22 campaign. Would we see a winning side in Seville this time around ?

Sevilla losing ground on league leaders

Sevilla would be kicking themselves in the foot taking into account their recent performances in the race for the LaLiga title. With Real dropping points in recent weeks, Sevilla could've been the benefactors if only they help up their end. However, we've seen them draw each of their last three games against Valencia, Celta Vigo and most recently Osasuna. A six-point gap isn't exactly irrecoverable in modern-day football but this would require Lopetegui's troops to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

Elche are on some sort of a run in the league, putting together a five-game unbeaten run in the Spanish top-flight. Espanyol, Villarreal and, most recently, Alaves all went down to Francisco's troops but perhaps they would be most proud of the solitary point they earned at the Santiago Bernabeu during this run. A return of eleven points from a possible fifteen has shot them up to 14th position on the league standings with eight points now separating them from the drop zone. Although their recent form is cause for optimism, they're expected to be tested this Friday taking into account their awful record in Seville.
