Mozambique vs Cameroon Predictions and Betting Tips

Mozambique and Cameroon renew their acquaintances next Monday as both sides, once again, go head-to-head in the Nations Cup Qualification stage. This time, the game will be hosted by Mozambique who will be looking to take advantage of home advantage. Will they manage to get their first-ever victory against the Indomitable Lions?

Cameroon absolutely hammered Mozambique in the reverse fixture four days ago as they registered their second win in this qualifier. Aboubakar (2), Zambo-Anguissa, and N'Jie were all on the scoresheet as the home side ran out 4-1 winner. Kamo-Kamo's late strike only served as a consolation for the away side. It is then left to see whether they can do the double as they travel to Mozambique.

The Cameroonians at the top

The Indomitable Lions currently sit at the top of Group F in the Nations Cup qualification group with seven points from a possible nine. Since dropping points against Rwanda in their first game, a 1-0 win against Cape Verde followed by a 4-1 win against Monday's opponents has fired them to the top of the table.

Mozambique, on the other hand, isn't so far off with four points after three games played. Prior to that 4-1 loss against the Cameroonians, they sat at the top of Group F. As such, it is expected that Goncalves and his troops are focused on getting back to the summit. However, beating the 2017 Nations Cup champions is easier said than done.

Mozambique vs Cameroon Prediction: 1-2

This game is quite important for the home side as a loss for them might mean concession of second place to Cape Verde. The Indomitable Lions, on the other hand, will be looking to wrap up qualification as soon as possible. As such, this sets up this encounter nicely. However, we believe the Cameroonians have too much firepower for the home side to handle. As a result, we back them to get three points from this game.
