Potential title winning game on show
It’s really tight at the top with just two points separating Atletico Madrid from both Barca and Real Madrid. With all three sides dropping points in their recent games, it seems none of them want to take this by the scruff of the neck. However, with the final match week approaching, whichever side manages to string together a chain of maximum points would sure go home with the trophy.
Barcelona could’ve gone top last week but lost to Granada last Thursday. They followed that up with a brilliant comeback victory away at Valencia with Leo Messi scoring twice which included a well-taken free-kick.
Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, would be kicking themselves if they don’t secure this league title. At some points, it looked like They were going to run away with it but a couple of poor results allowed both Barca and Real Madrid to cut the gap, leaving them in the situation they find themselves in. They were lucky not to drop points last weekend with Elche missing a 90th-minute penalty to draw the game level. In the end, Llorente’s first-half strike secured a much-needed win for the Rojiblancos.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Prediction: 1-1
We expect to see a tight affair this weekend with both sides desperately looking to avoid defeat. Atletico’s defend-and-counter nature would certainly cause problems for the home side but with Leo Messi on the pitch, Barcelona would always have that threat going forward. Nonetheless, we wouldn’t be siding with any of the sides as we don’t see a clear winner heading into this game.
