Wolfsburg vs Lille Predictions and Betting Tips

We're set for a grandstand finale in Group G this Wednesday with 4th placed Wolfsburg go up against Lille who tops the group whilst both sides were being separated by three points. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.
A goalless stalemate was played out when both sides clashed in France, as such, the French outfit go in search of their first win against Wednesday's opponents having recorded a loss and two draws in the last three.
All to play for in Group G
Wolfsburg's early season form has dwindled drastically with the side heading into Wednesday's game losing all of their last four games in all competitions. With two losses in the last two matchdays in continental football, they're currently at the bottom of the group but could still secure a place in the knockouts whilst a spot in the Europa League, interestingly, is not on the table. Wolfsburg was humbled against Mainz last weekend 3-0 in yet another dismal performance from them.
Lille, on the flip side, are a side on the ascension comparing both teams as they head into this game unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions. Having managed just two points in their first three group matches, they currently lead the way in Group G with eight points to their name after recording wins against Sevilla and most recently against RB Salzburg. Les Douges, last weekend, came from a goal down against Troyes to pick up their second straight league win. As such, confidence would be going through the roof in the Lille camp and it is then left to see whether they can use this as a platform to book a place in the knockouts.

Wolfsburg haven't been at the best of form in recent weeks and although we still expect them to give a good account of themselves, Lille is looking like the side they were last season and therefore should do just enough for all three points.
