Seattle Sounders vs Vancouver Whitecaps Predictions and Betting Tips

The Lumen Field is the stage for this highly-anticipated MLS Western Conference as league leaders Seattle Sounders host Vancouver Whitecaps this weekend. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.
Both sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in their most recent meeting in June. This, however, stretched the hosts' unbeaten record in this fixture to 12 games.
Both sides eyeing maximum points
Seattle Sounders lead the way in the Western Conference with 54 points amassed so far. Just two points separate them from Sporting Kansas City who is in second, however, the league leaders have a game in hand. They head into this game having won their last three league games scoring eight in those games and conceding just twice With the most recent one being a 3-0 victory at home against Colorado Rapids. Roldan, Meldranda and Paulo were on target as the Western Conference league leaders picked up their 16th win of the season.
Vancouver Whitecaps head-coach Vanni Sartini has turned his side from draw specialists into a winning machine. The Canadian side was drawing too many games but have managed to get past that hurdle since the new manager was appointed. Although they're still outside of the playoffs position in the Western Conference, they're not too far off with just two points separating them from Real Salt Lake who are in 5th place. Just like their opponents, they picked up a 3-0 victory in their most recent game. Unlike them, however, it was a one-man show with Brian White netting all goals for the match-ball. A win here would catapult them into the playoffs position which is exactly where they want to be as we come to the end of the regular season.
Seattle Sounders vs Vancouver Whitecaps Prediction: 1-1
Although the visitors have won just once away from home, they haven't lost in their last five league games on the road and they should certainly prove to be a tough nut for the Sounders to crack. The Sounders head into this game with their flag flying high, however, we see Sartini's Whitecaps leaving the Lumen Field with at least a point.
