Manchester United and West Ham clash head this Saturday in the English top-flight with both sides looking to edge closer to a top-four finish come the end of the season. Read on of our expert tips and predictions.

Massive six-pointer on the cards

Following their 2-2 draw at Villa Park last weekend, the Mancunians knew they needed to get back to winning ways when they made their way to the Brentford Community Stadium last Wednesday. Thomas Frank's charges peppered the Man United goal in the opening half but all their efforts were repelled by an inspired David De Gea. In the second half, however, it was the visitors who did the attacking and they were duly rewarded with Elanga and Greenwood putting them two goals ahead before substitute Marcus Rashford netted the third. Brentford replied late via Ivan Toney but it could only amount to a consolation with the Reds taking home all three points. Although they did better their points tally, they still lie in 7th place but could leapfrog their opponents- who are only two points ahead- with a win this weekend.

Although West Ham is currently in 4th position, we could well see them fall down the pecking order in coming weeks with the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and even Man United in very close proximity whilst having at least one game in hand. As such, they can't afford a slip-up this Saturday just like they did last weekend when Leeds United visited the London Stadium. Former Manchester City winger Jack Harrison was a thorn in the Hammer's back for most of the game, netting a hattrick to secure all three points for his side in a captivating five-goal thriller. This put an end to West Ham's four-game winning streak in all competitions and given that this is a pivotal game in the top four race, they need to get back on the winning side of things.
