Manchester United possess an impeccable home record against the Blues in the Premier League. They haven't lost at the Old Trafford to Chelsea since the 2012/13 season- A run spanning across seven league games. Both sides clashed a number of times last season- once in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup and twice in the league. Although Chelsea won the most recent game which was in the FA Cup semifinal, The Reds were absolutely dominant against over the first three, winning all of them. They humbled Chelsea in this fixture last season in a 4-0 thrashing and will be bidding to do just that.

Resurgence all around Old Trafford

Manchester United has managed to ride past their rough patch at the beginning of the season. They're heading into this game off the back of a monumental win in the UEFA Champions League. A Fernandes penalty and a late Rashford strike guided them to their first three points away at Paris Saint-Germain.

In their most recent league game, they pulled off a magnificent comeback victory at the St. James' Park. As early as the second minute, Luke Shaw put the ball in his own net as Newcastle took an early lead. From then on, it was all Manchester United as Maguire, Fernandes, Wan-Bissaka and Rashford all put their names on the scoresheet.

New-look Chelsea still yet to take shape

Frank Lampard's team still hasn't managed to find the balance that's required for the team to function properly. The Londoners have won only three of their eight competitive games played this season, losing two and drawing three. However, the main problem is their defensive frailties with the team known for conceding cheap goals.

They're heading into this game off the back of two consecutive draws. The first one was at home to Southampton in a game in which we saw six goals scored. Southampton needed a game in the dying minutes to register a point as they came from two goals down to salvage a point. They also shared the spoils with Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League opener. The Blues' faithful will certainly take comfort from the fact that they managed only their second clean sheet of the season- two of which were managed with Edouard Mendy in goal.

Bailly and Martial will sit this one out with both players unavailable for this one. While the defender is out via injury, the French star is still suspended given his sending off against Spurs. The away side don't have any major player out via injury with Gilmour being the only one still sidelined via injury.
