Liverpool vs Arsenal Predictions and Betting Tips

Anfield is the stage for this highly-anticipated encounter as Liverpool and Arsenal compete for maximum points in the Premier League. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.

In their most recent meeting, Liverpool prevailed with three unanswered goals at the Emirates Stadium and with the Gunners losing four times in their last five visits to Merseyside, they could well lose yet again.

Liverpool in search of an immediate response

Liverpool were gifted their first league defeat of the season just before the international break against David Moyes' West Ham at the London Stadium. An Alisson own-goal put the Hammers in front and although we saw Trent equalize for the Reds with a brilliantly curled free-kick, West Ham netted twice via Fornals and Zouma for a healthy two-goal lead. Origi pulled one back for Liverpool, however, it didn't mean much as the Hammers picked up a 3-2 victory to push Liverpool down into 4th place. The Reds have been a little shaky defensively, as we saw them concede three goals yet again just like they did away a Brentford. It is also to be noted that they've managed just two clean sheets in their last six home games in all competitions. Nonetheless, they have no issues breaching their opponents' defence as they head into this game as the highest-scoring team in the division which we envisage would be needed against a Gunners side who have been recently solid at the back.

Arteta's troops are currently in 5th position and we expect their confidence to be at an all-time high with the side unbeaten in eight league matches- ten in all competitions. Just before the November international break, they did well to pick up their fourth straight victory in all competitions with Watford on the losing side of things via a second-half strike from Emile Smith-Rowe. This, astonishingly, would be their third consecutive clean sheet and their seventh in ten matches. Still and all, the Gunners usually struggle at Anfield with their most recent league win at Anfield dating back to 2012.
