Lazio's capitulation towards the end of the 2020/2021 Serie A campaign cause them to drop out of the race for the top four and eventually secure a 6th placed finish. With Simone Inzaghi now in the Internazionale dugout, former Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has the task of doing one better than his predecessor- that would be winning a trophy for the I Biancocelesti. Prior to last weekend, Lazio looked unstoppable after beating Empoli and Spezia 3-1 and 6-1 respectively in their first two games of the season.
