This took the game to penalties with Emi Martinez emerging the hero for the Argentines after saving three penalties.
Peru, on the other hand, was downed in regular time by the Brazilians. Only one goal separated both sides once again, just like Brazil’s quarterfinals match. Lucas Paqueta scored the winning goal after some brilliant work from Neymar on the left-hand side- the Brazilian midfielder’s second goal in the knockout stages.
