Brentford overturned a one-goal deficit in the first leg to book a place in the playoff finals. They were far from their best in the first leg against Swansea as they lost to a solitary goal from André Ayew. Thomas Frank and his men went into the second leg guns-blazing as they recorded an emphatic 3-1 win on Wednesday night. Ollie Watkins, Bryan Mbuemo, and Emiliano Marcondes fired the Bees into a three-goal lead. Rhyan Brewster pulled one back for the Swans but that wasn’t enough with the tie ending 3-2 on aggregate.
Fulham, on the other hand, survived a late scare against Cardiff in the second leg but managed to pull through 3-2 on aggregate. They won the first leg 2-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium courtesy of brilliant individual goals from Josh Onomah and Neeskens Kebano. In the second leg, they went down to a Curtis Nelson header, only eight minutes into the game. However, less than a minute after conceding, Neeskens Kebano scores his 2nd goal of the tie thereby equalizing for his side. Cardiff went into the lead for the second time on the night only three minutes after the restart as Lee Tomlin fired home. This wasn’t enough as Scott Parker’s side march on to the playoff finals.
Alexander Mitrovic is expected to be back for the playoff finals on Tuesday. Ivan Cavaleiro, however, is ruled out until next season. Thomas Frank does not have any fresh injury woes and will go to Wembley with a full squad to pick from.

Both sides are known for their attacking threat and not their defending. This is the kind of match the mutuals will be looking forward to as it guarantees goals. However, we see this game heading into extra time or even penalties as none of the sides have a particular advantage heading to Wembley.
