PSG vs Stade Rennes Predictions and Betting Tips

PSG welcome Stade Rennes to the Parc des Princes looking to maintain their healthy lead at the summit of the Ligue 1 standings. Read on for our expert tips and predictions.

Stade Rennes have been some sort of bogey team for Les Parisiens, beating them in three of their last six meetings, including a 2-0 win in the reverse match back in October. What sort of response would we see from Pochettino's troops this Friday ?

Five-star performance from Les Parisiens last week

PSG showed exactly why they're at the summit of the Ligue 1 standings last weekend when took on defending champions Lille. Although Lille did show some spirit in the first half with Botman cancelling Danilo's opener, it was all PSG from then on with goals from Messi and Kimpembe, Danilo's second goal of the game before Kylian Mbappe rounded off the scoring with a curling effort from outside the box. PSG have all but secured the Ligue 1 title given their 13-point lead, however, their main focus would be on their champions league tie with Real Madrid next Tuesday.

Goals in either half from Laborde and Terrier made sure that Rennes return to winning ways in the French top-flight following their shock loss to Clermont Foot 63 about two weeks ago. A return of eleven wins, four draws and eight losses puts them in 5th position on the standings and as such, they're still well in the discussion for the UEFA Champions League next season. Given that they've lost all of their last three league games on the road, the Parc des Princes isn't exactly a place they would love to visit right about now, however, their recent results against the capital club is a cause for optimism.
