The accumulator is undoubtedly the most favoured bet type among punters, at least among amateurs and people desperate to change their financial situation in today's economic situation. What many don't know is that there are variations to the accumulator which when applied increases a punter chances of winning a bet. Below we look at some of the various types and what they mean.

Accumulator

This is the normal accumulator favoured by punters where a bet placed can contain between 4 to 30 match events and all selections must be correct. It is sometimes called the all or nothing bet because of its high risk with high reward nature. A single incorrect selection can make all 30 something selection in the bet slip useless. A single stake is needed to place this bet.

Double

This is where things get interesting, this type of accumulator contains three(3) match events but four bets which affects your stake because you have to stake on each bet individually. It contains 3 doubles and 1 treble. Four different stakes for each is needed to place this bet and two correct selections are needed to get a return.

Patent

The patent is similar to the same 3 match events but with a new twist as it contains 7 bet types which include singles, doubles, and a treble. Seven different stakes for each is needed to place this bet and one correct selection is needed to get a return but two gives you a profit.

Yankee

A Yankee bet requires four-match events and contains 11 bets which are doubles, trebles and a 4-match accumulator. Only two correct selections are needed to get a return.

Lucky 15

Similar to the Yankee it contains 4 match events but 15 bets which includes single, doubles, trebles and a 4-match accumulator. A single correct prediction gets you a return.

Canadian

A Canadian bet is a bet with 5 match events and 26 bets with doubles, trebles 4-match accumulators and a 5-match accumulator included.

Lucky 31

The Lucky 31 is a bet with 5 match events and 31 bets which includes singles, doubles, trebles 4-match accumulators and a 5-match accumulator.

Heinz

A Heinz bet is a bet made up of 6 match selections. Which contains a total amount of 57 different bets. It contains doubles, trebles, 4-folds, 5-folds and a 6-fold. Two winning selections will secure a return but due to the number of bets, you will want to win at least 4 out of the 6 to earn a profit.

Lucky 63

The Lucky 63 is a bet with 6 match events. Which contains a total amount of 63 different bets. It contains singles, doubles, trebles, 4-folds, 5-folds and a 6-fold.

Super Heinz

A Super Heinz is a bet made up of 7 selections and has a total of 120 separate bets. The bet contains doubles, trebles, 4-folds, 5-folds, 6-folds and a 7-fold accumulator.

Goliath

The biggest accumulator of the bunch is called a Goliath and requires 8 selections and it comprises of a total of 247 individual bets. This bet includes doubles, trebles, 4-folds, 5-folds, 6-folds, 7-folds and an 8-fold accumulator.
